Reminder: Freeze of non-urgent service requests from Oct 17-Nov 1

The November 2nd go-live date for Planon is fast approaching. As part of this transition and launch, we are asking all faculty/staff members to hold-off on entering non-urgent building and grounds service requests into Peoplesoft after Friday, October 16th. Building Operations’ Service Centre will continue to process and respond to urgent requests. Urgent requests include, but are not limited to floods, safety related lighting and power issues, fire alarm events, extreme hot/cold problems, tripping hazards, and COVID related cleaning requests, etc. For urgent requests, please contact 604-822-2173.

For routine maintenance and customer funded services that are non-urgent, we kindly ask that all faculty/departments to wait until Planon goes live after November 2nd to submit any new requests. Any non-urgent requests submitted in Peoplesoft after October 16th will not be migrated to the new Planon system.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we prepare to transition to the new Planon system. For more information on how you will be using Planon as of Novemeber 2nd, the Planon 101 for Service Requestors course is available on UBC’s Workplace Learning website.
