Utility customers! Login to the new UBC Facilities Utility Customer Portal

The new UBC Facilities Utility Customer Portal is live! You can now set up your account online and easily manage and pay for your utilities.  

Please note: You have a new account number 

All UBC utility customers have an updated account number, starting with your September bill. View your September bill to see your new account number for billing.

Your new account number is eight digits, a dash, then two digits (########-##). You may need to add leading zeroes. For example, if your account number is 123-00, enter 00000123-00 (add five leading zeroes). 

If you already have automated payments set up through your bank, please update your account number to match your new account number on your bill. 

How to set up your account 

It’s easy to get started. 

  1. Go to facilities.ubc.ca/utilitycustomerportal and click ‘Sign Up Now’ 
  2. Create a username and strong password and select a security question & answer 
  3. Enter your email address (you’ll confirm via a verification email) 
  4. Enter your utility account details exactly as they appear on your bill: 
    • Account number: Eight digits, a dash, then two digits (########-##). You may need to add leading zeroes. For example, if your account number is 123-00, enter 00000123-00 (add five leading zeroes). 
    • Account holder name: Must match your bill (include punctuation if present) 
  5. Review and accept the Terms of Use, then click “Sign Up Now” 
  6. Open the verification email and click the confirmation link to activate your login 
  7. Return to the portal and sign in with your username and password 
  8. Explore the portal 
    • Go to ‘View my Bill’ to access current and past billing history  
    • Go to ‘Help Center’ or ‘Resources’ to find user guides, video tutorials, and contact information for our support team. 

If you are currently receiving bills in the mail, we encourage you to set up your online account in the Utility Customer Portal to switch to paperless utility billing!
