Energizing the future: SHED project wins 2025 SAB Award

The Smart Hydrogen Energy District (SHED) – Hydrogen Generation and Fueling Station won a prestigious 2025 SAB Green Building Award for its excellence in energy innovation and environmental impact. This project is a unique partnership between industry and government to create an innovative living laboratory at a city-block scale, to test and study smart energy solutions with real-world applications.

USB Lighting Renewal starting in late April

Construction on the University Services Building (USB) Lighting Renewal Project is anticipated to take place from late-April to August 2025. The lighting renewal project will replace outdated luminaires with energy-efficient LED lighting in various areas of USB.

Facilities Service Request Dashboard is now live

UBC Facilities is pleased to share that the Facilities Service Request Dashboard is now live. The Facilities Service Requests Dashboard (CWL and VPN required) is a centralized, interactive tool designed to provide visibility into open service requests submitted through Planon.
