Noel McNally promoted as Senior Project Manager in Infrastructure Development

Noel McNally has been promoted to Senior Project Manager in Project Services within Infrastructure Development, as of February 7.

In his new role, Noel will be leading one of the teams of project managers in Project Services, and continue his present scope of work of directly managing complex projects such as Jack Bell Building Renewal and Faculty of Applied Science Digital Design Studio.

A value driven professional who looks for creative solutions to challenges each project presents, Noel looks forward to continuing to support Project Services with his leadership and project expertise. Noel is a proven collaborator and skilled at navigating difficult project challenges.

Noel joined Infrastructure Development’s Project Services as a Project Manager in 2017, helping to manage construction projects and renovations across UBC. Since then, he has successfully completed the Hebb Building Renewal and MacLeod Building Renewal projects under the Routine Capital Program, and has taken an active role in driving the Seismic Resilience program to help UBC better plan for mitigation of seismic risks on campus, which includes competing detailed studies on high risk buildings and developing guidelines for future projects.

Noel is an architect who studied architecture in Dublin, Ireland before practicing in Vancouver. Prior to joining UBC, he was a Project Manager for several projects in the Seismic Mitigation Program at the Vancouver Board of Education, including Canada’s first completed seismic base isolation project at Vancouver’s Strathcona Elementary school.
