Gilberto Andrade will be joining Building Operations as the new Building Asset Specialist, starting January 29, 2024. With his expertise in asset management, strategic planning, and data analysis, Gilberto is ready to take on this critical role and contribute to the success of Facilities stewardship of UBC Vancouver’s core campus buildings. In his previous role as the Senior Material Resource Coordinator in Municipal Services, Gilberto demonstrated his ability to drive complex processes and lead teams effectively.
With 25 years working for large industrial companies in Brazil, Gilberto played a crucial role in the implementation of ERP systems such as SAP R/3, and Oracle EBS 12.1. He will be working on implementing asset management principles and practices within Building Operations.
Collaborating with senior managers and project teams, Gilberto will support in developing long-term building infrastructure asset objectives, preventative maintenance programs, and strategic renewal planning for the university. His expertise and data-driven decision-making will enhance asset management procedures, creating efficient and sustainable spaces for research, teaching, and learning at UBC Vancouver.
