Construction: April 15–June 30
Construction will begin April 15 on the 16th Avenue Water Main Replacement. This project will replace 400 metres of aging water main infrastructure along 16th Avenue.
What to expect during construction
- Expect noise from construction activities and construction traffic.
- Near the end of June water will be cut over from the old water main to the newly installed main. Users may notice slight discoloration in their water temporarily (simply wait until it runs clear).
Traffic changes
- For most of the construction, single lane traffic will be maintained along north bound Wesbrook Mall and east bound 16th Avenue. Periodic detours will occur along Wesbrook Mall.
