University Services Building (USB) Lighting Renewal
Late-April – August 2025
Construction on the University Services Building (USB) Lighting Renewal Project is anticipated to take place from late-April to August 2025.
The lighting renewal project will replace outdated luminaires with energy-efficient LED lighting in various areas of USB. The lighting upgrade will reduce the malfunctions, flickering, and diminished illumination, while also providing significant energy savings for the building.
What to expect during construction
- The work is planned to take place mostly outside of normal working hours (approximately 4:00 pm – 12:00 am), however, building occupants should still expect mild noise and intermittent light outages while lighting is being replaced. The project team will communicate with those in affected areas, as needed.
- A small storage area for the contractor may be established at the back of the building near the loading bay, confirmation TBD.
