Our teams collected over 100 lbs. of garbage at Clean up the Campus

Thirty-one dedicated members of our UBC Facilities team joined forces for the 4th Annual Earth Day Clean up the Campus event, led by the Municipal Services’ Waste Management team.

We divided the Vancouver campus into grids, with teams of three equipped with proper protective gear and garbage bags sent out to tackle their assigned zones. It was a race to see which team could collect the most litter, resulting in a thrilling competition between two teams, each boasting bags filled with assorted debris. Collecting a total of 192 pounds of litter was a resounding victory for Mother Earth!

Thank you to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement in this meaningful initiative.

Congratulation to our winning team: Sean Lynch, Conor Cregg-Guinan, Jeet Amritsar and Jaswinder Gill.
