Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) featured two UBC projects in the summer edition of the Innovation magazine.
The UBC Pharmacy Demand Control Ventilation (DCV) System was featured for its innovative approach to energy efficiency. The DCV system integrates with the building management system (BMS) and uses real-time pollutant monitoring and heating/cooling demand data to dynamically adjust ventilation based on actual needs. This ensures optimal energy use while maintaining safety and performance.
The UBC Okanagan District Energy Decarbonization project was also featured in the magazine.
