Forest Sciences Centre Room 1717 Renovation begins July 7

Estimated construction dates: July 7 – August 29, 2025

Construction on the Forest Sciences Centre Room 1717 Renovation into a graduate research shared space is anticipated to begin on July 7.

This project involves the conversion of the existing wet laboratory into a dedicated office space for graduate students, supporting research activities.

What to expect during construction

• Expect noise from renovation work in room 1717.
  • The majority of noise disturbance is expected during concrete chipping required at the existing sump pit in the laboratory, exact dates for this portion of the work are to be determined.
• No access to room 1717 during construction.
• A temporary electrical and plumbing shutdown will be required for part of the renovation. The specific date and time will be confirmed in a follow-up notice once the construction schedule is confirmed.
