Project Summary
Transportation Planning felt there was a growing need on campus to provide cyclists with a sheltered place to safely store their bikes. The intent was to take the unused space underneath the Buchanan Tower and create a secure bike storage area. The location was centrally located and highly visible.
By utilizing the open space underneath the tower, a bike storage area was created. The design of the random horizontal members which made up the enclosure, incorporated bright, playful colours to help bring attention to the facility, while complementing those colours of the newly constructed Buchanan Courtyard project.
