Project Summary
Project purpose: To renovate the Sage Bistro and create the Ideas Lounge as part of the seismic upgrade and tenant improvements at the Leon and Thea Koerner University Centre.
Sage Bistro:
- The bistro and kitchen were modernized, including lighting and audio visual systems. While the Sage was modernized it was done keeping the period architecture in mind, preserving the best restaurant view in Vancouver.
Ideas Lounge:
- University Centre was renovated to create the Ideas Lounge. The Ideas Lounge can be used for diners, presentations, receptions as well as simple meetings. Finishes like the bamboo flooring were chosen to demonstrate UBC’s commitment to sustainable construction.
