Gardenia Honório is the successful candidate for the Manager, Business and Support Services position, within the Facilities Customer Services and Informatics team. Gardenia will take on this temporary 18 month position while Joey-Lee Rebelo fills in for Deb Capps’ maternity leave.
Gardenia brings a wealth of career experience between her previous positions in both Brazil and Canada, including nearly a year spent in the Facilities Service Center from 2019-2020. Gardenia joins us with in-depth knowledge of UBC Facilities people and processes. This experience, coupled with her experience in: leading teams, delivering in-person, virtual and online training, using Learning Management Systems including Canvas, and developing and achieving KPIs, makes this role a great fit for both Gardenia and Facilities.
Gardenia has a degree in Corporate Communications from the Universidade de Brasília and has completed the Human Resources Management program at BCIT’s Business School. Over the next 18 months, Gardenia will lead the Facilities Service Center and Clerical teams, as well as supporting training and other important initiatives throughout Facilities including: Onboarding, safety training scheduling, IT device management, and Facilities wide events.
Gardenia will work closely with Joey-Lee and the Customer Services and Informatics team, to understand our new processes and systems, including Workday and Planon.
