Selina joins the Energy Conservation & Innovation team within Facilities’ Energy & Water Services as Energy Conservation Engineer on April 11, 2023.
She joins us from BCIT as the Energy Manager, where she managed a team of engineers and BMS technicians to implement robust process improvements to increase energy efficiency across the Institute. The projects and process improvements she has implemented during her time there received over $500,000 in incentive funding. Prior to her stint at BCIT, Selina worked for SES Consulting as an Energy Efficiency Engineer, conducting over 75 energy and water audits and managing over $1 Million in controls optimization and upgrade projects. She brings to Facilities her vast experience and expertise in increasing energy efficiency, as well as UBC experience from when she worked as the Ancillary Energy Manager from Feb 2020–Sept 2021.
Selina is a Professional Engineer and holds a Master of Engineering. Aside from her contributions in her workplace, Selina manages the Women in Sustainable Energy mentoring and networking initiative through the BC Sustainable Energy Association.
