About UBC Facilities

UBC Facilities has lifecycle stewardship responsibility for all academic and administrative buildings, land, public realm, and utility assets on the UBC Vancouver (Point Grey) campus. Its primary mandate is to ensure that campus spaces deliver the intended functionality and experience for the campus community.

Facilities includes nine departments: Asset Replacement & Improvement, Building Operations, Capital Planning & Development, Custodial Services, Customer Services & Informatics, Energy & Water Services, Facilities Planning, Municipal Services, and Project Services. Collectively, our departments plan, build, renew, operate, maintain and/or repair buildings and infrastructure to ensure that they serve the needs and academic mission of the University. Learn more about each of our departments

UBC Facilities is part of the VP Finance & Operations Portfolio (VPFO). The VPFO provides strategic leadership and support for UBC’s academic vision by providing and delivering financial and operational management excellence. The ten departments in the portfolio are responsible for stewardship of all UBC physical and financial assets.
