Power tools and equipment available for rent
UBC Facilities’ Stores Tool Crib has a wide range of power tools and equipment available for rental to on-campus customers. Our knowledgeable staff can provide advice on the right tool for your needs.
Example rental tools include:
- power saws and drills
- pipe cutters
- grinders
- power washers
- portable pumps
- shop vacuums
- generators
- air compressors
- ladders
- portable lights
Daily, weekly, and monthly rental rates are available. Rental transactions may be arranged through a standard Facilities’ customer work request in Planon. A standing work request can be set up if regular rentals are expected.

Hardware and safety supplies for the UBC community
UBC Facilities’ Stores is open to all UBC academic or ancillary departments and carries all manner of hardware and safety supplies including:
- building materials
- flashlights and batteries
- safety vests
- coveralls and gloves
- electrical supplies
- plumbing supplies
- fasteners
- adhesives
Special order items can be obtained upon request.
Stores purchases may be arranged through a standard Facilities’ customer work order. A standing work order can be set up if regular purchases are expected.
