Colleen Mah and Kyle Fenton promoted to Project Managers in Infrastructure Development within Facilities

We are pleased to announce that Colleen Mah and Kyle Fenton have been promoted to Project Manager I in Project Services within Facilities’ Infrastructure Development, as of June 30, 2023.

Colleen Mah

Colleen joined UBC in 2017 as a Project Administrator and was promoted to the position of Associate Project Manager in 2019. Prior to joining UBC, Colleen honed her skills in construction project management for over seven years.

Known for her meticulous and thorough approach, Colleen has been an invaluable asset to the Project Services Team, leading projects across campus and managing complex renovations for Learning Spaces and Laboratories.

In her current capacity, she will continue to spearhead diverse initiatives, including renovations to support the University’s Equity & Diversity goals through gender neutral washroom additions and accessibility upgrades.

Colleen has a Bachelor of Business Administration from BCIT and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Currently, she is pursuing further education in Interior Design at BCIT.

Kyle Fenton

In his new role, Kyle will be leading complex renovation projects for Energy & Water Services and the Faculty of Applied Science in addition to a range of unique project studies, such as Robson Squares Museum of Asia.

Kyle joined UBC in 2021, transitioning from RJC Engineers, where he excelled as a structural engineer, managing and coordinating the design and construction of multiple projects of varying sizes and scopes. His prior experience with UBC building projects, both professionally and as a former student, has been instrumental in his success.

With a robust technical background, project management expertise, and a Master’s degree in Applied Science specializing in Structural and Earthquake Engineering from UBC, Kyle brings invaluable skills to the Facilities team.

Beyond work, Kyle actively contributes to the community. He volunteers at Blind Beginnings in New Westminster, engages in tandem cycling with visually impaired youth in the Lower Mainland, and offers support to blind athletes participating in organized sports.
