Variable Frequency Drives to be replaced in the Brimacombe Building in January

Maintenance will be taking place in the Brimacombe Building from January–April 2025. We will be replacing and installing critical variable frequency drives (VFDs) on the penthouse level above the fourth floor that have reached the end of their operational life.  

Construction begins in January on the Foster Lab Renovation

Construction on the Foster Lab Renovation in the Networks of Centre of Excellence (NCE) – Room 440 is anticipated to begin in January 2025 and to be completed in May 2025.

Saad Ibrahim joins Energy & Water Services as Civil Engineer

As of December 2, Saad Ibrahim has joined Energy & Water Services. He joins us from the City of Brantford, Ontario, where he worked as a Design Engineer and Project Manager overseeing capital projects in roads, water, and wastewater. Learn more about Saad.

Metro Vancouver water crews conducting planned maintenance

Metro Vancouver water crews are working within the City of Vancouver December 3–5, which may cause cloudy water. The water is still safe for consumption and use.
