UBC Facilities is responsible for the stewardship of UBC’s physical assets on the Vancouver campus. Three core operating departments manage the planning, development, operations and maintenance of facilities and utilities on the Vancouver campus, to provide a sustainable physical environment for learning, research, and campus life.

With the University’s announcement of a phased resumption of research in campus facilities, UBC Facilities operations teams are working to ensure re-opening buildings are properly cleaned, operated and maintained to provide a safe environment for faculty, students, and staff.
It’s great to see that the COVID-19 curve is flattening in BC and we’ll soon be able to begin a careful easing of restrictions. I know that we’re all eagerly anticipating our next steps at UBC, so I want to highlight some recent updates from the university, and what it means for us in the Facilities group.
