Sepideh Parlee joins Facilities’ Energy & Water Services as Utilities Electrical Engineer
Sepideh Parlee will be joining Facilities’ Energy & Water Services as a Utilities Electrical Engineer. Her career journey started in Canada with two co-op semesters at Triumf-UBC, and she is now pleased to be back as an employee and to bring her utility experience and perspective to contribute to the success of this department. She brings over 12 years of experience from BC Hydro and most recently spent two years with Wood, assigned to Duke Energy in Florida as a Distribution Planner. Please join us in welcoming Sepideh to UBC Facilities.
Jen Dick joins UBC Facilities’ Learning Spaces Team as Learning Space Planner
Jen Dick joins UBC Facilities’ Learning Spaces Team as the Learning Space Planner. Jen comes to us from the Construction Office where she has served as a Project Coordinator. Jen is a Red Seal certified Joinery by trade and has more recently completed the Rick Hansen Accessibility certification and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.

Jenny Black joins UBC Facilities as Red Zone Facilities Manager
Jenny joins UBC Facilities’ Customer Services & Informatics team from UBC Athletics & Recreation where she has been working for the past 9 years as a facility coordinator and facility manager. Buildings in her portfolio have included the War Memorial Gym, the UBC Boathouse and most recently Thunderbird Park where she was managing eight buildings and 14 sports fields.
Jeannie Lee joins Facilities’ Energy & Water Services as Utilities Manager
Jeannie brings in extensive, local knowledge in both private and public engineering sectors focuses on utilities planning, stormwater management, and climate change resilience. Prior to joining UBC, Jeannie was the Senior Engineer in the City of Vancouver, leading their Flood Management team, and spent many years at the City of Surrey directly involved in development servicing, capital planning, and public engagement.
Steven Wong joins Comptroller’s Capital Financial Management & Reporting as Finance Manager in Project Accounting
Steven will be working closely with Capital Planning & Development and Project Services, in Facilities, responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of Facilities projects. This includes project costing, funding, planning, and reporting to support the successful delivery of capital projects across UBC. Steven joins UBC with a wealth of experience in project accounting and financial management.
