Safety bollards play a critical role in protecting our campus community
The safety bollards are essential to provide a protective barrier that helps prevent accidents and potential harm to pedestrians. For UBC vehicles, please ensure you are using a bollard wrench to drop the bollards before driving through and resetting the bollard once the vehicle has passed through. For external contractors, please contact the Facilities Service Centre to request access from Municipal Services to drop the bollard for your vehicle to drive through restricted areas.
Increase in mosquito activity may be attributable to this year’s weather pattern
UBC Facilities is aware that there is currently an increase in mosquito activity due to this summer’s weather pattern. Although, some may find mosquitos pesky because of their biting habit, Facilities does not manage the population of this insect.
