Project Summary
The University Services Building – Roof Renewal will replace the current 83,000 sf, gravel ballast flat roof with a similar assembly, complete with upgraded insulation levels. This will alleviate current maintenance concerns, improve building energy performance, and improve structural performance during a seismic event. This project is being carried forward under the Routine Capital Maintenance program, which prioritizes maintenance projects based on need as recommended by UBC’s architectural technical specialists.
