Project Summary
The University Services Building – Roof Renewal replaced the current 83,000 sf, gravel ballast flat roof with a similar assembly, complete with upgraded insulation levels. This alleviated maintenance concerns, and will improve building energy performance and structural performance during a seismic event. This project was carried forward under the Routine Capital Maintenance program, which prioritizes maintenance projects based on need as recommended by UBC’s architectural technical specialists.
